Brendan O'Friel

Brendan became an SIA Board Member on 1 April 2003. He spent thirty-three years in the prison service, including fifteen years as a Governing Governor. Brendan was also Chairman of the Governors' Branch of the SCPS and later the Prison Governors' Association from 1977-95. He retired from the prison service in 1996.

He is the Surveillance Commissioner for the Isle of Man, a Lay member of the Employment Tribunals (Manchester and the Isle of Man) and Chair of TravelWatch Isle of Man.
