What Will We do?

Misrepresenting Approved Status

Section 16 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 makes it an offence for a company to misrepresent its approved status (for example, claiming to be approved for a licensable activity when no such approval exists). The penalty for committing an offence under Section 16 is a fine of up to £5,000.

Our register of approved contractors lists all of the companies that are currently approved and the activities for which approval has been granted.
