UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The FBI provides applicants with a copy of their 'FBI identification record' (criminal record) or advises that no such record exists. Applicants may obtain a copy by submitting a written request to the CJIS Division. The request must be accompanied by proof of identity - consisting of name, date and place of birth, a set of roll-inked fingerprint impressions and a fee (currently $18 U.S. dollars) in the form of a money order or a certified cheque made payable to the Treasury of the United States. Alternatively, applicants living in the US can request a criminal record search from their local police force. If you have lived in more than one state, you must obtain a criminal record search from each police force of the states concerned.
