Exemption and Part-exemption Arrangements

If you already have some form of qualification in vehicle immobilisation or other parking enforcement related activities it may mean that you are exempt from Part 1 of the SIA approved training (please contact Edexcel on 0870 240 9800 to discuss this). However, all candidates must attend and pass Part 2.

Please note: It is important to ensure that training remains current. Therefore, qualifications allowing exemption from the SIA approved training must be no more than three years old, except where otherwise stated.

Overseas Qualifications

If you hold a qualification in security or a security-related discipline which was obtained overseas you may be exempt from part of the SIA approved training.
