POLAND
In the UK:
Applicants should go the Polish Consulate to apply for their criminal record checks (CRC). They must provide their passport and will be asked to complete a form - available form the Consulate. The Consulate will then forward the request to the Ministry of Justice in Poland who will reply directly to the Consulate (up to 5 weeks). The Consulate will then forward the CRC (in Polish) to the applicant with an additional note in English, stating the essential findings. There is a fee for this service which is currently £51. This is payable by cash, postal order, bankers or personal cheque made payable to 'The Polish Consulate'.

A list of the information points is provided below. There is an automated information service available on +48 22 51 88 200. Opening hours for visitors with enquiries are Monday 09:00 to 17:00 and Tuesday to Friday 09:00 to 14:00.
The issue of personal information contained within the National Crime Register costs 50 PLN, and payment is in the form of "court fee stamps", obtainable from the Head Office of the Register or from the cash-desks located within various Civil Courts.
As the Polish Consulate in London is unable to verify any document as genuine obtained in this way, applicants should send a copy of their certificate to the SIA who will verify it from source.

RUSSIAN FEDERATION
In the UK: Applicants should go to the Legalisation Department at the Russian Consulate in London and present their original Russian passport - or current passport if national of another country. The Consulate will initiate the search on behalf of the applicant by sending the request back to Russia who will reply in 4 - 6 months. There is a fee for this service; specific details can be found by contacting the Consulate.
On return of their CRC, applicants must have documents verified by the Consulate and translated into English - the Consulate can do both these tasks and do charge a fee. Address details for applicants:

Finger prints must be enclosed with the letter to the South African Police Service. These can be obtained at any police authority in the UK. The application itself costs R54.00.
SPAIN
Spanish nationals living in Spain can obtain the application form from a post office or high street newsagent and can then take or post the completed application form with proof of their identity to the local office of the Ministry of Justice. The individual will be required to provide their full name, date of birth, address and Spanish National Insurance number in addition to some form of identification (usually a passport, national identity card, marriage certificate or birth certificate).
British nationals or other foreign nationals living in Spain should apply through their Embassy. Applications made from within Spain cost €2.40.

TURKEY
